The Holy Spirit is the great equalizer. It isn’t about how smart we are, how tough we are, how many resources we have, where we live, how many degrees we’ve completed, or our age, gender or experience. It is about the Holy Spirit’s gracious desire to reveal who Jesus is, what He said, what He did, what He promised . . . and what all of that means. The Holy Spirit loves to reveal and teach us all the wonders and wisdom of God.
Take a few moments to read the two following scriptures.
However, as it is written: What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived — the things God has prepared for those who love him — these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. (1 Corinthians 2:9-10; NIV)
At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.
All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. (Luke 10:21-24; NIV)
After you have considered what these verses from the Bible have said, take time to pray with your prayer partner. Here are a few prayer prompts. Add your own as you are led by the Holy Spirit.
· Ask God to give you greater understanding of who He is.
· Seek the Lord for insight into His purpose for your life.
· Invite the Holy Spirit to reveal an area where He wants to work in your life.
· Request His wisdom.
· Call upon God to strengthen you for future.
· Plead for God’s power to be an overcomer.
· Claim the promises that God has for you.
· Appeal to the Lord to anoint you to be a witness.
· Agree with the Lord where He wishes to reveal areas that need correction.
· Thank God for His mercy, grace, and forgiveness.
Here’s my prayer for you:
Holy Spirit reveal Jesus Christ in all His majesty to each one joining me in prayer during PRAY10. Open our eyes to the amazing truths from the Word of God. And pour out your Holy Spirit upon us. Speak to us about every area o our lives.
John Wesley said, “All the outward means of grace, if separate from the Spirit of God, cannot profit or conduce in any degree, either to the knowledge or love o God. All outward things, unless He works in them and by them, are in vain.”
Bless your day in the Spirit!
